1. Who we are

PrepWithTee is an online exam preparation platform operated from Lahore, Pakistan. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), date of birth, grade level, gender (optional), phone (optional).
Google sign-in: if you sign in via Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, past papers generated, quiz answers, topic progress.
Payment proofs: screenshots or transaction IDs you upload when purchasing a plan (not card numbers — we do not process card payments directly).
Communications: messages you send via the contact form or in-platform messaging.

3. How we use your information

To provide and improve the platform.
To personalise your study experience (progress tracking, recommendations).
To process subscription purchases.
To send service emails (account activation, subscription confirmation).
To communicate with you if you contact us.
To generate aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Supabase (database hosting) — your data is stored in their infrastructure.
Anthropic — questions you send to the AI Tutor are processed by Anthropic's API. Do not include sensitive personal information in AI tutor queries.
Your teacher (if you are an enrolled tutoring student) — your name, grade, and study progress are visible to your allocated teacher.
Your linked parent (if you share your student code) — your name, grade, plan, and topic progress are visible to any parent you link.
Legal requirements — we may disclose data if required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion for backup purposes. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at our contact page.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We use Google Fonts (loaded from Google's servers) — Google may log your IP address when fonts load.

8. Children's privacy

Users under 13 must not create accounts without parental consent. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided data without consent, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified by email or an in-platform notice.
